Thank you to everyone who entered, shared and shopped!
Here they are! I've done five different color combinations so far… they're a bit tedious to paint, but I'm thrilled with the way these have turned out. I hope you are too.
They're listed in my shop here.
And now… are you ready for some fun?
My fluffy white horse, Lady sure is! (I think she was hoping my little trip outside to get these photos would involve something special for her—don't worry she and Strider will get apple cores and some burnt toast with their supper. Yum!)
I actually have two surprises today…
First off, everything in my shop ships to you for free when you use code FLYFREE through March 5th. (Yes, that includes all my international friends too!)
And second, it's giveaway time!
I'm giving away 1 mirrored set of these hand painted leather feathers to 2 lucky winners! You'll get to pick your favorite color.
The Rules:
To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment in the comments section below and tell me what your favorite color combination is and what colors you think I should try next. Or tell me what you'd make with them—earrings? Necklace? How would you use them? I love to hear your ideas!
And you get extra entries by leaving additional comments for doing one or all of these:

Good luck! Lady is rooting for you!
I love the pink / magenta colour combination! As I have a friend who really loves pink (and loves my handmade jewelery) I would create earrings for her... althought... maybe rather a necklace, would have to go through my stash and see what actually comes into my mind first :)
ReplyDelete(Oh, I am already a follower :))

OH, these have turned out fabulously! My current favorite color combination is an aqua/teal blue paired with a deep plum purple. Of course, I'm not sure how those two would look on your lovely, earthy feathers.
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower of your blog (of course!)
ReplyDeleteI shared this everywhere. . .twitter, facebook, tumblr, pinterest! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see some green in there -- I love sage green with soft lavender at the moment, but maybe a deeper green version with plum tones would work. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI am a blog follower (through Bloglovin) -- I have been for a while now!
ReplyDeleteI pinned it to my Beads I Covet board on Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic! I'm not sure which color I'd choose, they are all so beautiful! One of my favorite color combinations is red & turquoise and for spring I'm loving a brighter version - pinks & teals!!

The yellow feathers are my favorite. They remind me of an oriole. I would make a pair of earrings with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of your blog too.
ReplyDeleteThe feathers are wonderful! I am so partial to blue so the darker blue is my favorite. I think I would use them on a necklace.

Wow! These turned out great! I think my favorites are the two different blues followed closely by the pinky purple ones. I think green would be a great addition to the mix... there are lots of shades that would look really nice against the color of the leather. I would probably make some over the top earrings! sjdesignsjewelry[at]gmail[dot]com

ReplyDeleteThese are just awesome!! I'm a blue girl so that would be an automatic. Can I just say I am so impressed you are doing a free shipping including international, that's so refreshing! (little pet peeve, there is a company I love and they keep emailing me in Canada about their free shipping "US ONLY" seriously even in all caps.....why can't their database be smart enough not to send it to me!?) ....
ReplyDeleteBut back to beautiful things, these rock!
I love the purple/fuchsia and dark blue feathers! I think they'd make some lovely earrings.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog as well!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog already. I lovethe magenta and blue.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. I love the reds. But didn't see any greens. Think maybe you should try some green combos. Would love to win a set of these to make some really cool earrings.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog.

I love chartreuse, bright pink, black and white
ReplyDeleteThey look just fab! Love the colours (and the design overall too of cause).
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colour combo that I tend to return to is brown, cream and purple (why not radiant orchid?) and purple + olive with a touch of copper. In general, I like chocolate and almond/cream as neutrals together as so many colours go well with it: turquoise, purple, pink, green, khaki, burgundy/wine etc.
As for colours to try, I too think something green would be a nice addition, either towards chartreuse or towards teal (all greens are so pretty). Perhaps with blue or gold/copper accents.
I'm a blog follower, of cause. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I pinned the giveaway and sale here: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/109634572153321692/
ReplyDeleteI love the pale blue and magenta. I think shades of green would be wonderful. I'd probably start with earrings (love making earrings), but I think they'd also be great in a necklace (maybe 3 -5 in different colours).
ReplyDeleteI have pinned, tweeted and fb'd the giveaway. :)
Thanks,

All the colors are beautiful, but Purple Sunset are my favorite. I think I would use them to decorate a gourd.
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite color, so maybe more of those?
I would follow you and Lady to ends of the earth! (I didn't realize you had horses,Rebekah!...Lady just melts my feather loving heart!). It's so hard to choose a favorite, but I'm loving the purple and the orange hazes. I think I will be creating one of your gorgeous feathery bracelets! Thank you for sharing. Carol :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! These are awesome! I am picturing a layered necklace with colored wood beads and some funky chain. I love all the colors! If you ever have orphans in multiple colors, I'm your girl! I love the vibrant colors and the patterns. I have been sketching ideas this week with a very similar tribal feel. Great minds! I do so love the colors but if I had to choose, it would be the pink, the denim blue or the orange. Enjoy the day! Erin
ReplyDeleteLove the spicy orange and the sunshine yellow ones.
ReplyDeleteA new color would be a shade of green.

ReplyDeletei really like the sky blue ones. i am already signed up for your newsletter, thank for some much inspiration. i think aubugine and lime green.
ReplyDeleteLove these! Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd probably go with the orange. Or the dark blue. And I think a dark olive green would look awesome!
ReplyDeleteSaw these at Starry road on facebook....LOVE the bracelet idea! The darker blue would look great with jeans and t-shirt. AND the bracelet would look awesome done with wooly wire! Will start pinning now! Linda Mack
