New Pewter Ruby Dragons...and Some Old Ones Finished
More dragons for the festival! Four little pewter guys this time.
And here are a few photos of my first two pewter ruby dragons...made into necklaces. It took so long for me to find the right beads and then to have enough time for photographing that I forgot to post them!
The single dragon necklace:
And the double dragon necklace:
Gunmetal rollo chain, pewter stacked beads, and tiny red rondelles - a bit gothic don't you think? ...I'm sure I'll be doing more of this style. It's surprising how things turn out sometimes, but that's what keeps creating so much fun!
You can find both necklaces now listed in my Etsy shop.

A Special Charm for a Very Special Cause - The Finished Bracelet
Here it is! Christine just posted this photo of Villa's finished bracelet on her blog, Stories They Tell!
I just love how it turned out! It's a wonderful thing to be able to create something so small that together with the love and craftsmanship of others will bring a spot of hope and happiness into another person's life. Thank you Christine, for this very special opportunity!

Tree Wings Studio at Lazy Daze 2010!
I've been accepted into the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival again! This year the jury placed me in jewelry. I'm so excited to be showing my work this August...and doing jewelry is going to be so much fun! Here are just a few of my newest designs in progress:
Fire Agate Dragons
Mod Poppy Pendants
I formed the bases of these pendants in my pewter mix and then added the funny little poppies for a contemporary yet rustic look.Winged Heart Pendants
The result of a day of doodling winged hearts...before long I had a whole paper covered in them in lots of different poses. I really like how the new double and flying (side view) hearts turned out.Winged Heart Birds
When creating so many new winged heart pendants, making them into birds just kind of happened!
Fire Agate Dragons
Of course my jewelry display at Lazy Daze just wouldn't be complete without these little dragons! I'll be making lots of them!
...And this is just the beginning! I have so many other ideas lying unfinished or waiting to be created!
