Three Awards!

This fun award is from Arlene Harrison of harrisonhollowdesigns.blogspot.com. Thanks Arlene!
Here are a couple of her own designs - she's always creating something new.
As part of receiving this award I now get to tell you 7 facts about myself... so here goes...

Seven Facts About Myself:
1. Fall is my favorite season. I love those grey days when flocks of migrating birds gather in the treetops and the vibrant autumn leaves take flight on the cool breezes - I could easily spend all day in the woods collecting leaves and listening to them drift through the branches to the ground.

2. I love fine detail - the smaller the better!

3. When working on a new design, I'll spend weeks just planing before beginning the actual work and once started I let it take as long as it needs to be perfect.

4. My favorite country sound - crickets chirping.

5. I love baking homemade bread. I use a lot of my own recipes and nearly every day there's something homemade coming fresh out of the oven - oat bread, flax/wheat rolls, lemon glazed rolls, bagels, crescents, cinnamon rolls, sourdough bread... the list goes on and on. Believe it or not I'm terrible at ready-bake breads - just the other day I baked Pillsbury crescents - they were awful!

6. My absolute favorite color is orange, but when it comes to my art I usually stick to browns, with an occasional bit of green and only hints of more vibrant colors like orange and fuchsia.

7. The color I find hardest to create with is blue.

..And now I get to pass this award onto 7 terrific blogs. Join in on the fun - share 7 facts about yourself and then pass the award onto your 7 favorite blogs!

Here are 7 of my favorites, along with a couple photos of their art:

1. sharonsjewelrygarden.blogspot.com

2. claylady43.blogspot.com

3. polymerclaybeads.blogspot.com

On Polymer Clay Beads, Ponsawan Sila shows how to create these colorful canes and earrings. Her blog is packed with great tutorials.

4. labottegadililliput.blogspot.com

5. dondaart.blogspot.com

6. pipsjewellery.blogspot.com

7. laurabeestudios.blogspot.com

I just couldn't resist sharing these little birdies with you - I have a weakness for anything with trees, leaves, birds and everything autumn! Just look at my banner and studio name!
I found these earrings on flickr. See more great designs here: www.flickr.com/photos/laurabeestudios/

My second award:

This award comes from the very talented Nikki Rowe of nikkinikkinikki72.blogspot.com. Thanks Nikki! You will definitely want to check out her blog. She has some of the most fabulous witch and wizard miniatures I've ever seen!

Her sculpted faces are fantastic!

Here are the award rules:
1. Thank the person who gave this to you.
2. Copy the award and place it in your blog.
3. Link the person who nominated you.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that no one would really know.
5. Nominate 7 'Kreativ Bloggers'.
6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know you nominated them.

So now I get to tell you all 7 more things about myself...wow, you're really learning a lot today!

Seven Things About Myself No One Would Really Know:
1. I have a twin brother.

2. Many love butterflies, but I absolutely love moths! The feathered antennae, the velvet wings, the oh-so-soft fur...what's not to love!

3. My family is all blue eyed, but my eyes are hazel green.

4. A few years back I was a volunteer at a local horse sanctuary. We had 16 horses at one time and I still remember all their names! I have so many fond memories of time spent there with them. (You'll be seeing a couple horse blogs here today!)

5. I love poetry that tells of hidden and forgotten things - the ones that leave you wondering.

6. My favorite time of day is at sunset, especially in the autumn.

7. I always try to be very organized in everything I do - I love keeping records and never like to rush anything.

..And now 7 more blogs - very "kreativ" blogs! Enjoy!

1. malsarts.blogspot.com

Stephanie and her handsome boy, Sinatra.

And finally the last award - this one is also from Nikki Rowe of nikkinikkinikki72.blogspot.com. (Don't forget to check out her blog!)

2. Link the person who nominated you.
3. Nominate 10 dream blogs.
4. Post links to the 10 blogs you nominate.

What a terrific blog! As many of you know Polymer Clay Chameleon is a creation of Eugena Topina - a very special place where every day she introduces us to the work of gifted polymer artists.
Here are just a few that have been featured:

purplecactusstudios.etsy.com

beastlies.etsy.com

butterflygirldesigns.etsy.com

9. clayandglassblog.com

10. heartofacowgirl.blogspot.com
This lovely blog certainly is a dream for all you cowgirls and cowgirls-at-heart out there. You're going to love every bit of it!

There are horse stories... That's Phoenix on the left - he's 32 years old and still going strong! And the sweet girl lying down in her saddle is Piper.

...And lots of adorable bunnies. On Heart of a Cowgirl every Sunday is Bunny Sunday!

And somehow amid all her adventures as a cowgirl, Bridget still has the time for some beautiful jewelry! Love those bunnies!

11. Eleven?! I know, the rules said to pass this award on to ten dream blogs, but I just discovered a new blog I had to share: teostudio.blogspot.com. Just as I thought I had finished this post, I saw the most lovely journal (below) in an Etsy Finds email. I love old books, so of course I headed over to Teo's shop and as always I checked for a blog. Her journals are gorgeous - I can see my old, well-read Lord of the Rings wrapped lovingly in one of her vintage covers!

Enjoy all the blogs and have a wonderful day!
